What a fabulous first day of grade one for the other half of our class. Today’s group also did an excellent job at quickly adjusting to grade one and the new regulations at school. We did a fabulous job with learning new routines, important health procedures, staying at school for lunch and also having some fun and getting to know each other!!

Ask me to share some of the highlights in my day with you, but here are some that stood out for us…

 

We listed to stories on the smartboard (Kayleigh)

We played games in the gym (Ava)

We took lots of pictures of us (Vivian)

We played games with shapes (Ellis)

We traced our hands and colored them (Willa)

Everyone got a bin of supplies (Seth)

We drew self-portraits (Owen)

We counted the letters in our names and other peoples names (Ashton)

We ate lunch in our classroom and went outside to play (Ryder)

We learned how to be “Healthy Superheros” (Zack W)

We made new friends (Emma)

We printed our names (Natalie)

 

Looking forward to seeing EVERYONE in our class tomorrow! Don’t forget good footwear for physical education and for lots of walking/time spent outside. Be sure to bring a jacket and warm gear for outdoors as well- many kids didn’t have a sweater or jacket today. Have a great night!
