Happy Friday! What a “Fun Friday” we had! Ms. Woehleke is beyond amazed at how smoothly this week went and how quickly and happily each child has adjusted to grade one and the new health regulations in place.  Here are some highlights from our morning together:

We played on the playground for gym (Natalie)

We had recess on the field and ran around (Dante)

We finished decorating our stars (Zack. W)

We made our names out of plasticine (Kayleigh)

We listened to O’Canada in music (Avianna)

I liked playing Duck Duck with my friends (Ellis)

We listened to the Coconut Tree in music (Ryder)

We watched an alphabet video on different sounds (Ashton)

Have a fabulous long weekend and see everyone on Tuesday, September 8th!

Important Reminders:

-There is no school on Monday, September 7th

-Don't forget a water bottle (water fountains are closed)

-The school will not be handing out spoons/forks so be sure to pack one if you need one for any of your food

-Quick "drop and kiss" at the compound as we are asking parents to not wait around to watch your child enter the building in the mornings

-Starting next week, Grade 1-4 teachers will not be outside after school, so be prompt for pick ups and have a meeting place for you and your child

-LABEL all of your child's things.  There will be no formal lost and found this year.

-Be sure to do the Covid checklist before sending your child to school every day. You can find this on our school website
